Safety, Excellence, and Community

"I believe the highest priorities of the school board should be ensuring physical safety and educational achievement for all."

I am a mother of two children in PAUSD, an attorney, and dedicated advocate for immigrants’ rights and underrepresented minorities. I first moved to the area as a student at Stanford, where I majored in history. I received my law degree from Harvard Law School and am currently the legal program director at the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, a non-profit whose mission is to build a democratic society that values diversity and the rights of all people.

After six years at Escondido Elementary, my daughter now attends Greene Middle School, and my son is in the Spanish Immersion program at Escondido. My husband is a developmental psychology professor at Stanford who specializes in children’s language learning. I have both deep and broad roots in this community and am passionate about serving our families and uniting us around shared values of safety and educational achievement.
